It dawned on me that one year ago today I found out I was getting an early birthday present. After going from food poisoning to wanting brisket, I took a test on a Sunday evening. I wasn't too sure about the first positive, so I took two tests that night. In fact, I took another one in the morning before I told Steve or scheduled an appointment because I wanted to be sure.
I only wanted one thing last year, and it turned out that my prayers were answered in the form of an early birthday present. It's incredible to think that we began this journey towards our little lady a year ago today. By far, our baby was the most treasured gift I could have hoped for, and a gift that continues to give every day we share with her.
